In one sentence
Enter product specs and process parameters and instantly get stage-by-stage carbon subtotals plus the per-piece total for laminated molded-fiber trays - no spreadsheet needed, and every parameter change updates the footprint immediately.
Stages covered
| Stage | Main drivers |
|---|---|
| Pulp forming | Fiber mix (bagasse / wood / bamboo), pieces per shot, processing electricity |
| Inbound freight | Distance, transport mode, cargo weight |
| Lamination | Film type (PP / PET mono or laminate), film weight |
| Thermoforming | Processing electricity, pieces per shot |
| Packaging | Inner bag, carton, tape and stacking count |
How to use
1. Enter or select parameters in the six panels on the left - yellow cells are inputs, green cells are auto-calculated; 2. The "Footprint summary" panel on the right instantly shows the per-piece footprint (gCO2eq/pc) and product intensity (kgCO2eq/kg, input and finished bases); 3. The stage table lists each stage subtotal with its share (donut chart updates in sync), so the reduction priority is obvious at a glance; 4. Use Copy summary or Export CSV at the bottom right for customer communication and internal reviews.
When is this useful?
- Quickly answering customer questions about the footprint of laminated trays with order-of-magnitude figures and a stage breakdown;
- Comparing the impact of different film options (e.g. PP vs PET lamination) on the overall footprint;
- Assessing the savings from logistics improvements such as shorter distances or optimized stacking;
- Quantifying inputs for a sustainable-packaging roadmap (bagasse substitution, lightweight design).
